The Caregiver
This young family was happy to receive gifts - mom was off at work but dad was taking care of things at home when we arrived. We took small children clothing, coloring books and crayons, small wooden cars, a few other misc., toys and a baby doll. In these precious moments we realize what we feel and know in our heart that Christmas is really about the Christ.
“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Toy delivery
Sometimes we look around and have a hard time imagining Christmas here. There are decorations up here and there and also some of the stores blare Christmas music. But Christmas time it is and we are doing our best to have the Spirit. Many have helped us to do just that by contributing generously and unselfishly to our efforts, Bringing the Love to Chuuk.
This is Cathreen with her mother - she is a special little girl with a handicap caused by the doctor when he was delivering her. He cut her upper lip pretty bad and she has not been able to speak well because of the damage. She is a beautiful little 7 year old. She was very happy to see her new toys and clothes.
This is Cathreen's brother. He is a twin and they are 11 years old. He was practicing playing with the egg magnets that were donated. He thought they were really great but his mom didn't like the sound they make. She said it scared her. They sound like a rattle snake.
Fortunately there are no snakes here.
Many more children. . . Here they are learning to read and sing "The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round". Between 2 houses which are all family we delivered toys and clothes for 12 children. They were very happy and thanked everyone for "Bringing the Love to Chuuk".
This little darling is Esron. She is two years old and she was so sweet the entire time we were there, playing with her new baby doll. She took two of her shirts and made a blanket for her baby and laid it down to sleep.
These boys were also given small wooden cars from Tiny Tim's workshop. They are very excited to receive them.
We have the greatest job in the world right now, delivering and handing out toys and goodies, all made possible by charitable souls from all across our home country. We are not clothed in red or have a sleigh and reindeer. To all those who have contributed, we thank you immensely and may the eternal blessings be left in your socks hanging on the mantle.

Loaded and ready for delivery
This is a picture of the Berta's trunk - she is loaded and ready for delivery to the children.
The back seat is also loaded and ready to go.
Thank you to so many that have shared love to the Chuukese project. More pictures will soon be posted.Wooden cars a hit!
These kids were so excited to play with the wooden cars. They scooted them across the room to one another for a while, racing them was cool but then of course they had to make it a little more exciting and crash them into each other. They all laughed and laughed.
Good thing the cars are tough for tough boys!

Donations arriving. . .
Many donations have been arriving now for several weeks from all over the United States.
Thank you for the love and support with this project.
"Bringing Love to the Children of Chuuk"
We can all remember our feelings when a little child cried out and reached up to us for help.
We remember our Savior’s teaching as He placed a little child before His followers and declared:
“And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
Thank you for the love and support with this project.

Delivery of toys to the Children
Thank you for our cool toys we really like them |
He is showing the wooden cars he picked for the 2 small boys that live in the house with him. We left a stuffed animal with the baby boy to play with.
These children are cousins. They all live together in this one home 34 people live here during the school year. Most of these little girls don't even have a doll to play with so the stuffed animals were a big hit with them.
This lovely lady has many grand-children, the kids were very happy to seen the toys. Each children received one whether it be a stuffed animal or a wooden car.

"Bring the love" here in Chuuk
Okay ya'll this event is asking for donations to "Bring the love" here in Chuuk.
As many of you know we need a lot of help here.
For those of you that have not been here ~ Chuuk is located about 600 miles southeast of Guam. Chuuk State consists of 11 mangrove-fringed islands in the Chuuk Lagoon, and a series of 14 outlying atolls and low islands surrounding the lagoon. The main islands, Weno, Tonoas, Uman and Fefan are located in the Chuuk Lagoon.
Of Chuuk's population of around 53,000, more than 40,000 live on islands in the lagoon.
Commerce is limited here, if not impossible. To purchase items, when or if you can, it might be VERY EXPENSIVE. Other than the local food everything must be imported, so everything depends on the container shipping companies.
The Chuukese people are some of the most loving, honest, charitable people in the world. They will help everyone even if they need it themselves first.
Bringing the Love was created by experienced volunteers for people who are eager to travel and contribute to the communities, wildlife, and environment they visit.
We know that many people are looking for an opportunity to help some how but are just not sure where or who to turn to. We could use your help with "Bringing the Love" to Chuuk.
This is the first project in this area and hopefully there will be many more each year.
We are hoping you will pick one of these choices and invite others to take part. If you want pictures of the children receiving your donation that is not a problem we will be happy to do that along with a thank you note.
Things that we are hoping to get donated here are - - -

Gently used or new baby clothing - all types and sizes.
